Willam B. Locander, Ph.D. |

Dr. Locander
is the
endowed
chair and founding
director of
the Davis
Center for
Leadership
Development
at
Jacksonville University.
Previously, he was the
Chairman of Marketing and
the Frank
Harvey
Professor
of
Marketing
and Quality
at the
University
of South
Florida.
In 1999,
Dr. Locander
and a group
of his MBA students formed the Leadership Center at USF where he served as Center Director. In 1973, Dr. Locander received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. After joining the University of Houston, he served as chair of the Marketing Department and Associate Dean of the College of Business. While at Houston, Dr. Locander participated in many of their executive training programs. In 1983, Dr. Locander accepted the Distinguished Professorship in Marketing and the Department of Marketing, Logistics, and Transportation at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. There he designed and implemented a two-week executive training course in Marketing and Quality. Dr. Locander has authored articles in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the American Statistical Association, and Journal of Market Focused Management. In addition, he has served in the editorial board of the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Research. From 1988 through 1989, Dr. Locander served as president of the National American Marketing Association. From 1991 through 1992, Dr. Locander served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. In 1992, Dr. Locander accepted the Frank Harvey Endowed Professorship of Marketing and Quality along with the Department Chair position at USF. Dr. Locander
served as an
examiner for
the 1993
Governor's
Sterling
Award.
He has spoken and consulted in the areas of leadership, organizational change, marketing, total quality, strategic planning, and customer satisfaction with companies such as Inchcape Shipping Services, General Electric, IBM, Chevron, 3M, Procter & Gamble, Sea Land, American Brands, the City of Richmond, California, USF Health Sciences Center,
and Regency
Centers. |

David L. Luechauer, Ph.D. |
|
Dr. David L. Luechauer is an award winning professor, author, consultant and personal coach. Dr. Luechauer
received his
undergraduate
degree
(1981) from
Ohio
Northern University with majors
in Finance
and
Communication.
He received
his MA
degree
(1986) from
Miami
University
in Ohio with
majors in
Organizational
&
Interpersonal
Communication. In 1990 he received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Luechauer has received numerous academic accolades and awards including being named in Who's Who in Higher Education, Beta Gamma Sigma, & Outstanding Teacher. In the fall of 2004 Dr. Luechauer joined the faculty at Jacksonville University as an Associate Professor in Leadership while also serving as the Associate Director of the Davis Leadership Center. He was recently named a Jacksonville University Faculty Scholar where he will be exploring the linkage between the performing arts and leadership. Prior to joining Jacksonville University, Dr. Luechauer spent 12 years serving the College of Business at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana where he also acted as Leadership Area Coordinator. Since 2001, Dr. Luechauer has also been affiliated with the Helsinki School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Luechauer has extensive teaching experience and has taught leadership and related courses at the undergraduate, graduate, EMBA and Ph.D. levels. Dr. Luechauer's innovative teaching methods have won him acclaim in both the academy and popular press where stories featuring his classes have often appeared. Dr. Luechauer has extensive consulting experience working with such companies as Roche Diagnostics, Anthem Health Insurance, Air Jamaica/Sandals resorts, the NCAA and the Indianapolis Colts. He has significant experience consulting in the medical field with individual medical practices. Dr. Luechauer has written numerous articles on such topics as leadership pedagogy, servant-leadership, appreciative inquiry and personal self-development. He has appeared on TV shows and radio programs. Finally, Dr. Luechauer is
a proponent of positive social change and has volunteered his services for faith based programs and other not-for-profit organizations. Most recently, Dr. Luechauer served as the President of the Board of the Children's Theater Institute in Indianapolis. Dr. Luechauer is an engaging and informative speaker, a motivating and empathic coach, and a true educator. |

Wayne A.
Galloway. An
Executive-in-Residence
at the Davis
College of
Business,
Wayne is a
retired
Procter &
Gamble
executive.
He has more
than three
decades of
experience
with the
consumer
goods giant.
Prior to his
retirement,
he was Vice
President of
Customer
Business
Development
for Central
and Eastern
Europe, the
Middle East,
and Africa.
Wayne helped
lead the
redesign of
P&G's U.S.
sales
organization
into a
multi-functional
customer
team
approach.
His
expertise
both in the
U.S. and
internationally
includes
assessing
systems,
creating
strategic
vision,
defining
needs and
planning/executing
organizational
change.
Currently,
Wayne serves
as a
Director on
the Board of
the World
Affairs
Council of
Jacksonville,
the Senior
Warden of
Christ
Episcopal
Church, on
the Board of
Trustees at
Jacksonville
University
as Finance
Chair. He is
also a
member of
the Davis
Leadership
Center
Advisory
Committee.
On the
personal
side,
Wayne's
passions
include
travel,
tennis, and
novice golf.
He and his
wife compete
on the show
dog circuit
with
standard
poodles.

Director
Becky Olivarez |
|
Becky
Olivarez
is the
Program
Director for
the
Leadership
Center. She
has over
twenty years
of
experience
in the areas
of sales,
marketing
and
management.
This spans a
wide variety
of
industries
from the
building
material
trade to
custom
aftermarket
automotive
parts and
accessories
to service
industries.
Her
involvement
encompassed
leadership
roles in
both a
professional
and
volunteer
capacity.
She believes
in giving
back to the
community
and has
served in
various
positions of
leadership
in
organizations
such as The
Pilot Club
(Indiana),
various
home-school
groups and
churches,
and both the
Boy Scouts
and
the Girl
Scouts.
She
currently
serves as
secretary
for the EAC
(Employee
Advisory
Council) at
JU and on
both the
Executive
Committee
and the
Nominations
& Elections
Committee.
Having
earned an
undergraduate
degree in
business,
Becky is now
completing a
dual BS in
Social
Science and Business Development/Leadership at Jacksonville University. |

Dayle
Lasonde-Smith
is the
Office
Associate
for the
Leadership
Center. She
moved to
Jacksonville
from a town
north of
Boston,
Massachusetts
in the fall
of 2005. As
the co-owner
of a land-scaping
company, her
experiences
included
payroll,
accounts
receivable
and accounts
payable. She
also held
the
positions of
night staff
supervisor/medical
records
processor
for
Specialized
Receivables
Inc., a
medical
billing
company.
Prior to the
Davis
Leadership
Center, she
worked in
offices on
the JU
campus.
After
beginning at
Northeastern
University,
Dayle is
continuing
her
education at
Jacksonville
University. |
